In October 2012, MMO reached a very special milestone as we celebrated 50 years since the orphanage first opened its doors in Makola. What began in 1962 with just 16 children has grown into a home and a place of learning for generations of children.
The Golden Jubilee celebration brought together former students, staff members, trustees, supporters, and friends who have been part of MMO's journey over the years. It was a wonderful opportunity to look back at how far we have come and to remember the many people who have helped make our work possible.
For MMO, the celebration was not only about looking back. It was also about looking ahead and continuing our commitment to providing children with a safe home, education, care, and opportunities for a better future.
